This is the RV park we stayed at, in Goodyear, Arizona, 25 miles west of Phoenix. It is in a flat desert-like area surrounded on three sides by low mountains, where we did some trail hikes and saw the cowboy mounted shooting.
The building and entrance look almost like an old adobe mission. Palm trees set the mood. Temperatures while we were there were in the high 60's to upper 70's, with lots of sunshine. The ground cover was p-gravel, not sand, so we didn't have a dust problem as at some RV parks in the southwest. Our tree was not a citrus tree, but there are many orange and grapefruit trees in the park, from which the fruits can be picked.
We had a concrete patio which was in the shade in the afternoon. Quite comfortable. The bicycles are parked by the rear wheel, locked to a U-bolt I installed under the wheel well. Theft is not a big problem here, but this avoids problems.
Behind our rig was an orange tree. One evening the full moon was coming up right over it and I decided to try a picture. Hope it looks okay on your computer.
As always, if you have any questions about what it's like to travel and live in a motorhome for several months, please send a comment or email. We'd like to hear from you!
